CB Passive Income by Patric Chan-Is It A Scam?

chart of how the CB system works

Name: CB Passive Income Program 4.0

Website: http://cbpassiveincome.com

Owner: Patric Chan

Price: $47/mth or $97 Lifetime

This is the 4th edition of Patric Chan's CB License Income Program. Patric is a serial affiliate marketer with this being his signature product. He advertises this product as being able to generate a passive income for you, all on auto pilot. This is the ultimate business in a box. Is it all I really need?

In this edition his main focus was showing you how to make money with Facebook and improving his AL Optin Detector. What the heck is that and how does it work? Well, basically it detects buyers on your 'secret web page' and makes them an offer through built in promotions after it captures a email address.

Here Is How It Works

Pros

  • ready to go web pages for you
  • fill in your deails page
  • hosting and fees included for each page
  • 4.0 edition now provides multiple updated pages
  • constant updating promising higher conversion
  • fully automated
  • free gift offers built into page offers
  • our clickbank ID is automatically inserted
  • video step by step training provided

Cons

screenshot of step #2
  • not newbie friendly
  • must have a clickbank account
  • these are cloned pages which will get old quick
  • sales pitch is misleading and contains false claims of success
  • fully automated does not mean it's easy to use
  • training upsells and buying better support contained inside
  • you still need to have traffic visiting your site

Patric makes a lot of promises with his program. This is the 4th edition he has launched since 2013. You have to really wonder why if it's so easy to make passive income on auto pilot, why the need to keep releasing the same product with minor tweaks and upsells embedded in it.

collect your commission

When you peel back the onion skin here, what you have is ready for you webpages with clickbank products on them. He also gives you the ability to see how many visitors have come to your page. That's it.

You can build your own page and put your own clickbank link on them to sell any product in the clickbank stable. The fact that he promises to do this for you on automatic is just a clever affiliate marketing trick. I don't like any business building system that uses the word 'SECRET' in it like Patric Chan does.

He also uses Russell Brunson on his video shilling for his 'auto pilot' system.

You still need to generate your own traffic to that 'SECRET' web page. Once you have that traffic, the program will capture the email address and slowly send your subscribers offers and promotions. Sound familiar?

You can save yourself a ton of time and learn how to do this yourself with some good training. Training the will show you how to build a page and insert your own affiliate offers and products. My main problem here is with clickbank.

There are so many shady products on their website that I would never use or promote. If it all gets done on auto pilot, you will never have a say on what your business is promoting. In time, people will just get sick of you trying to sell them something and unsubscribe.

However, if you really want to build 'SECRET' web pages and promote clickbank only products, then this is the product for you. It's just not for me.

Tools and Training

He does provide an acceptable amount of training to show you how his system works. Do you want to become an employee of Patric Chan? That is exactly who you will be working for after the training. In essence, you become his affiliate and will be promoting his products and those of his entrepreneur friends.

list of 3 main product titles

He really could care less about you running your own successful business. He only cares that you're promoting his clickbank products. All the training is centred around that concept.

Support

Not there when you need it or if something doesn't work. Claims to be a real business with physical office staff but questions are answered only via email. That could take awhile.

What Does It Cost?

My Final Take

This new version is more of the same old same old with some added content in the form of mobile updating and more secret web pages for you. It is not very easy to use for newbies and makes massive outrageous claims of success that just aren't true. If you want to build a legitimate business online that will teach you all about affiliate marketing and promoting products then read about my #1 recommendation here.

    Hi Peter,
CB Passive income 4.0 sounds a lot like some of the other products on ClickBank, where the front end price is really cheap to get you in. What you find inside is nothing like what you are promised unless you buy countless upsells, and I really hate those.
Thanks for the great article shedding light on another ClickBank scam. I don’t think I will try this one out, but your number 1 recommendation looks promising!

Thanks Anthony. Clickbank is a huge marketplace for digital products. I just buy them to review them. The only ones making money here are the sellers. Buyers are usually getting fleeced. You have to do your research Thanks for dropping by:)

Thanks for confirming my worst nightmare.
I heard about Patric Chan when I was checking out ClickBank in my early days as an Affiliate Marketer. He seemed genuine – being associated with ClickBank.

I nearly bought into his system as it seemed like a quick way to get started with the Affiliate Marketing Business. However, I have heard about these get rich quick schemes so was skeptical. Not only that, I would like to have control of my own website and business.
When things are done on auto-pilot, you can end up with a lot of junk and non-targeted traffic and be seen as a Spammer.

I have a reputation to maintain being a newbie to Affiliate Marketing and didn’t want to be associated with anything shady. I believe there are no short-cuts in becoming a successful Affiliate Marketer.

    Thanks for posting this review.

You’re welcome Jacqueline, you did well to stay away from products Patric just relaunches over and over. It’s about selling products and not about helping you build a successful business.

      • It’s so sad how people can prey on the vulnerable.
If he states clearly that what you’re buying into is the selling of products then at least you’ll know and you will either take it or leave it. But selling it as though you’ll be promoting your own business when in effect this is far from the truth is misleading, to say the least.
Thanks for your response and a great review!!

Thanks for making this website and exposing the truth, wish I would of had this when I got scammed out of money (through a different website). I don’t understand why people do that. Thanks to people like you, others won’t have to be scammed. WA is a really honest and helpful place to learn how to have a successful online business. It is definitely the way to go for anyone who is truly interested in making profit online.

    • Peter

You’re welcome Emonne, I’m sorry to hear about you being scammed. There are just so many products out there making huge promises that people just can’t help themselves. WA is definitely the place to learn how to do things the right way.

    Hi Peter

I have seen some of Patrick’s business model too, in fact there was this one that looked so real, that I was dumb enough to actually sign up for his system.

To my surprised, the product offered me no value and yet he kept sending me email, after email about what I’m missing out on…

I got annoyed and actually opted out of his Email list…so it wouldn’t be a surprise if he just redid the entire thing and sold it to new victims.

Thanks for this post, I might have probably fell victim to his scam again.

    • Peter

Sorry for your losses Khanya, you really have to do your research on these guys before you give them money. Thanks for sharing your experience with us.
